BE IT RESOLVED THAT City Council appoint Steve Kanellakos to be the new City Manager of the City of Ottawa; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT City Council delegate to the Mayor, in consultation with the City Clerk and Solicitor, the authority to finalize and execute the employment contract in this instance based on the following parameters: 1. A five year term; 2. An annual salary of $319,000 with no increments, excluding any cost of living adjustments to the Management and Professional/Exempt Group; 3. Benefits pursuant to those received by the Management and Professional/Exempt Group; and 4. No severance unless dismissed by the City “without cause” within the five year term.
