WHEREAS Mayor Watson, Chair of the Finance and Economic Development Committee has advised that he would be absent for the open portion of the Finance and Economic Development Committee meeting on 1 February 2016; and WHEREAS the Vice-Chair of the Finance and Economic Development Committee has also sent his regrets for this meeting; BE IT RESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 17(1), the Finance and Economic Development Committee appoint Councillor Jan Harder as Presiding Officer for the open portion of the Finance and Economic Development Committee meeting on 1 February 2016,

That the Finance and Economic Development Committee, acting as the Hiring Panel for the City Manager, resolve In Camera pursuant to the Procedure By-law 2014-441, Subsections 13.(1)(b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including staff; 13.(1)(d) labour relations or employee negotiations; and, 13.(1)(f) the receiving of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose, and specifically in order to interview the candidates for the position for the position of City Manager and future next steps.
